The Boettcher Foundation has been providing nonprofit grants in Colorado since the organization was founded in 1937.
From early grants to institutions like the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and Denver Botanic Gardens, the Boettcher Foundation has sought to support the nonprofits that are working to make Colorado a better place. Today, we are proud to note that the Boettcher Foundation has provided capital grants in every county in the state of Colorado.
Ranging from well-known institutions like the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and History Colorado to important community facilities like Morgan Community College in Fort Morgan and the Avalon Theatre in Grand Junction, nonprofit grant funding from the Boettcher Foundation helps high-potential organizations obtain or adapt the facilities they need to amplify their impact in the community. Our nonprofit grant funding has also included significant support of the state’s colleges and universities.
Today, Boettcher Foundation nonprofit grants focus specifically on capital campaigns. The foundation makes grants to support capital campaigns for the purchase, construction or major renovation of buildings that are owned and used by Colorado nonprofit organizations.
From shifting demographics to rapidly evolving technology, heightened funder expectations to increased community needs, the pressure for Colorado’s nonprofits to demonstrate and accelerate impact is greater than ever. Organizations struggle to create and maintain a stable foundation upon which they can grow and innovate.
The Boettcher Foundation’s goal is to support Colorado nonprofits in rising to these challenges by helping to provide the physical capacity that will allow them to carry out their missions and be catalysts for positive change in our state.
