Marisa Pooley is a coordinator for both Communications and Strategic Initiatives. In her role, she works with both departments, planning and executing communications campaigns while implementing programming for the Boettcher community.
Previously, Marisa worked as a public relations consultant at Monte Vibiano—the first zero-emissions vineyard—in Perugia, Italy. There, she led the creation of their first-ever strategic communications plan, which garnered international media coverage and increased tourism. Perhaps most importantly, she also discovered her love of wine and olive oil.
Marisa attended the University of Denver as a Boettcher Scholar, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in strategic communications and degrees in marketing and leadership.
A Colorado native, Marisa loves exploring the ever-evolving city of Denver and all the great restaurants and events it has to offer. Blame it on her time in Italy or her foodie tendencies, but Marisa loves cooking and discussing food. She also enjoys painting, and has 17 years of dance training in styles ranging from classical ballet to belly dance.
I love going to Glenwood Springs. Every summer when I was growing up, my family would go to Glenwood, swim in the hot springs, stay at the Hot Springs Lodge and eat at Buffalo Valley. (Of course all of my favorite experiences include food!)
