15 Jul Boettcher Foundation announces new hire
July 15, 2014 — The Boettcher Foundation has hired Marisa Pooley as its Minds Initiative Fellow. Pooley will support the Foundation’s new initiative to promote relationships and engagement among Boettcher Scholars, Boettcher Teachers, Boettcher Investigators and the Boettcher Foundation Staff and Trustees for the purpose of further fostering their leadership, service and philanthropy.
A Boettcher Scholar and University of Denver graduate, Pooley has a Bachelor of Arts in strategic communications and degrees in marketing and leadership. She has experience in public relations and marketing from working at a variety of Colorado organizations, including Healthgrades, the Colorado Mammoth and, previously, the Boettcher Foundation as the Strategic Communications Intern.
She recently added public relations in the tourism industry to her skillset, when she worked as a consultant for a zero-emissions vineyard in Italy.
“We are absolutely thrilled that Marisa is joining our team,” said Katy Craig, Director of Innovation and Strategic Initiatives for the Boettcher Foundation. “Her skills will make her invaluable to us as we seek to empower current and past recipients of Boettcher Foundation funding so that we can multiply their individual and collective impact.
Pooley is a Colorado native and graduate of Overland High School.
