As the scholarship programming fellow, Krystal Kappeler manages alumni engagement and programming for the scholarship program. She thrives on making connections and is the go-to person for the Boettcher Scholar Alumni Board.
A Colorado native from Fort Collins, Krystal received a B.S. in business administration, with a corporate finance concentration, and a leadership certificate through the Presidential Leadership Program at Colorado State University. She is wrapping up her thesis for her M.A. in economics from CSU, where she also served as the philanthropy chair to the Presidential Ambassadors. Her thesis research examined the impact of philanthropy on the capitalist economy and stemmed from the direct impact she felt as a 2009 Boettcher Scholar and Coca-Cola Scholar.
Before joining the Boettcher Foundation, Krystal assisted with client events and financial operations at Welch Financial Planning in Boulder and developed strategic marketing and contracts with Coca-Cola Refreshments in southern California.
In her free time, Krystal is a travel enthusiast, floral designer and avid scuba diver. Krystal teaches Aqua Zumba and hip-hop dance to inspire individuals of all ages and abilities to lead an active lifestyle. Krystal also speaks as a guest lecturer, helping college students generate strategic business plans and improve negotiation tactics.
