Boettcher Foundation Announces 2024 Leadership Practitioner Catalyst Grant Recipients

COLORADO, August 15, 2024 — The Boettcher Foundation has announced its 2024 Leadership Practitioner Catalyst Grant recipients. This cycle totaled $40,000, funds which will provide capacity-building grants to nonprofit organizations participating in the Foundation’s Leadership Practitioner Collaborative. These grants support innovative projects designed to address strategic initiatives for organizations working to create a more inclusive and accessible leadership ecosystem in Colorado. 

“Catalyst Grant recipients continue to emphasize that small and timely grants for these kinds of initiatives are critical for launching innovative work,” said Garrett Mayberry, Boettcher’s grants program officer. 

Below is a summary of the organizations and projects awarded in this cycle:  

  • Leadership Veterans Institute: The Leadership Veterans Institute empowers nonprofits that support veterans through education, peer collaboration, and engagement with community leaders. The Institute is launching a statewide collaboration and impact management initiative for veteran service organizations. (Statewide, $7,500) 
  • Colorado Business Committee for the Arts: The Colorado Business Committee for the Arts develops a Leadership Arts pipeline, preparing diverse professionals to serve on nonprofit boards and increase their civic engagement in the arts. CBCA is running a feasibility study expanding CBCA’s Leadership Arts program to other parts of the state beyond the Denver metro region.(Denver, $7,500) 
  • Roaring Fork Leadership: Roaring Fork Leadership helps individuals and organizations build effective leaders through training, practice, and application; the launch of a collaboration and impact management program will enhance the impact of its Academy Civic Impact Projects. (Aspen, $7,500) 
  • Estes Nonprofit Network: The Estes Nonprofit Network is organizing a demographic study for inclusive projects to diversify the leadership pipeline within the nonprofit sector in the Estes Valley. This initiative aims to address gaps in representation in nonprofit leadership compared to the demographics of the community, ensuring better representation and service.(Estes Park, $7,500) 
  • Colorado Young Leaders: Colorado Young Leaders (CYL) is leading an initiative at the State DECA Leadership Conference to develop a youth leadership pipeline. Key elements of the project include developing skills related to professional development and career pathways, instilling transferable business skills for community-minded leaders, and teaching business principles for positive social impact. (Englewood, $10,000)
