Lisa Zúñiga Ramírez Appointed to Boettcher Foundation Board of Trustees

DENVER, January 12, 2024 — The Boettcher Foundation proudly announces the appointment of Lisa Zúñiga Ramírez, CFA, as the newest member of its Board of Trustees.

A diverse and dynamic group of Colorado’s community, philanthropic, and business leaders, Boettcher Trustees are responsible for supporting and guiding the Foundation in its mission to support the promise of Colorado and the potential of Coloradans.

A distinguished financial analyst, Lisa brings more than 30 years of experience in investments, finance, capital markets, and community involvement to the board.

“Lisa is a connector who makes a difference everyday,” said President & CEO Katie Kramer. “She’s a Colorado kid who goes above and beyond in how she dedicates her time, talents, and expertise to organizations, individuals, and communities.”

Zúñiga Ramírez, a first-generation college graduate, is currently the president of Éxito Consulting and an independent director of Century Communities, People’s Financial Services Corporation, and Trust for Professional Managers.

Her extensive career also includes serving as a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager at Segall Bryant & Hamill, and earlier at Denver Investments LLC.

A graduate of Adams City High School in Commerce City, Lisa earned her BSBA from the University of Colorado Denver and an MBA with a focus on finance from Regis University. She has been married to her husband, Ron, for 34 years and they are proud parents of identical twin boys, Román and Mason.

“Having spent nearly all of my life in Colorado, I have observed and admired the Boettcher family’s efforts to retain, cultivate, and support talent in in our beautiful state through scholarships and grants,” she said.  

In addition to Zúñiga Ramírez’s appointment, the Boettcher Foundation Board of Trustees is also excited to announce its slate of officers for the year.

Officers for 2024:

  • Chair – Gregory Moore, co-founder and CEO of KLOWTIFY;
  • Chair-elect – Michelle Lucero, chief administrative officer and general counsel for Children’s Hospital Colorado;
  • Secretary – Pam Shockley-Zalabak, president of CommuniCon Inc. and chancellor emerita of the University of Colorado;
  • Treasurer – Jason Wheeler, executive and former head of corporate functions, Forward; and
  • Past-chair – Tony Frank, chancellor of the Colorado State University system.
