Andy Mountain

Andy Mountain has advised leading non-profits, corporations, law firms, and public and quasi-governmental agencies for more than 30 years. He works closely with senior executives, boards, and leadership teams on strategy, organizational structure and process, communications, issues and crisis management, reputation management, and government affairs.
A community builder at heart, Andy is passionate about fostering collaborations that strengthen communities and create lasting public value. His work has contributed to transformative public and private initiatives across the Rocky Mountain West, including efforts to protect vulnerable populations from financial exploitation, revitalize urban neighborhoods, expand regional transit, support major arts and cultural projects, and preserve iconic Colorado landscapes.
In addition to his consulting experience, Andy’s early career included corporate communications roles with Microsoft, MCI and a small Colorado start-up during the state’s dot-com boom. Andy also invests countless hours mentoring, ideating with and advising non-profit and community leaders on their biggest challenges and opportunities.
Andy earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland College Park. The only things he loves more than his Terps and March Madness are his wife and their two children.
